DJ Sbu slammed with a R15 million SARS fine

Sunday World reports that Mo Faya energy drink founder and popular celebrity DJ Sbu, has been slammed with a R15 million fine by the South Africa Revenue Authority (SARS).

The newspaper reports that the tax bill is made up of:

1. R5 million personal income tax

2. R4. 4 Million additional tax

3. R4. 7 Million interest on the debt

The newspaper reports that  this is the second default judgement that SARS has obtained against DJ Sbu.

SARS has asked the court to replace another default judgement of R2. 2 Million that it obtained against DJ Sbu in 2018, which he did not pay, with the latest higher one.
