Brighton Ngoma is popularly known as Quinton Nyathi on Scandal. He played the role for more than a decade.
In order to challenge his creativeness, the actor joined uBettina Wethu on SABC 1 where he played a gay character.
Brighton who played the character of a straight man on Scandal said he realised that people have not yet accepted the LGBTQ community.
He said there is still discrimination of the LGBTQI plus community. Brighton said playing the gay character, Thabang, convinced a lot of people that he is gay even if he is not.
Brighton revealed that ever since playing the character on uBettina Wethu, he has received messages and calls from people asking if he is gay and why he is gay.
Brighton Ngoma is just an actor who plays a gay character and is not gay.
