Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga was appointed acting President by President Cyril Ramaphosa when he flew to Zambia to attend Kenneth Kaunda’s burial in Lusaka on Friday.
Ramaphosa also went to Lusaka to deliver condolence messages on behalf of the government and South Africa as a whole.
He was accompanied by Minister Naledi Pandor and Minister Gwede Mantashe. Mzansi’s reaction on the news was hilarious as many took to social media to joke about the appointment.
