Thulani Thuswa, a former Mamelodi Sundowns Spokesperson has passed away. He died in a car crash between Grayston and Marlboro near Sandton, Johannesburg yesterday in the morning.

According to the Sowetan, news of his death was confirmed by Johannesburg Metropolitan Police spokesperson, chief superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

Mamelodi Sundowns Chairman, the Motsepe family, technical team, board of directors, management, players and supporters all sent their heartfelt condolences.

Minnaar said the accident occurred on the M1 North around 7am in the morning. Thuswa’s Mercedes Benz is said to have lost control and collided with the barricades before falling into an embankment.

Thuswa was driving alone at the time of the accident. Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is reported to have been at the accident scene yesterday.

He left Mamelodi Sundowns in 2019 and started his own public relations, sponsorship and talent management agency, Tyler Masons Management.
