The Milken Institute and the Motsepe Foundation have launched a prize program to award innovation in agriculture, energy, education and health.

The prizes are aimed at driving technological solutions to some of the most pressing issues on the continent.

The program is meant to incentivise entrepreneurs globally and to help in closing the continent’s gap on the sustainable human development goals.

The entry is free and open to everyone and the prize money is about $2 million. The money will be shared among the first chosen 25 entrepreneurs who will be selected between now and December the 8th 2021.

There will be a group of experts who will look at the programs and see if they are beneficial in improving the economic value of farmers, improving agricultural yeilds and the whole value chain from seed to sell.

The $1 million dollar prize will go to the grand winner. The other $1 million will be shared amongst the Most Innovative, the  People’s Choice and more.
