Anatii became the talk on social media after it was discovered that the South African musician was involved in the writing of the Grammy-award-winning song Brown Skin Girl.
Many have felt that he is also a Grammy winner in his own right for his involvement in the song.
While Anatii isn’t technically a winner of the prestigious award, South Africans have decided to congratulate him anyway.
Media personality Lerato Sengadi took to Twitter and posted: “Our very own Grammy winner… Anatii you continue to make us so proud! We miss you!”
Twitter user kgatlii said: “Anatii is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter.”
However, some argued that Anatii didn’t win, South Africans are forcing things.
ZinhleMqadi1 said: “Anatii was part of writing ‘Brown Skin Girl’??? How am I only hearing this now.”
Lele_efkay said: “I like how South Africans like to force things, now they are giving Anatii a Grammy, next they will be giving Percy Tau the Player Of The Season award, My Country.”
