Fugitive Prophet Shepherd Bushiri had an exclusive interview on the 6th of March 2021 and revealed how he escaped South Africa.
His escape nearly caused a diplomatic row between South Africa and Malawi.
Many people believe that Bushiri was smuggled out of South Africa in Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera’s presidential plane.
Bushiri said in an interview that he doesn’t know how he left South Africa.
It is reported that Bushiri and his wife Mary applied cosmetics like spy agents in the cold war era to escape detection when they left South Africa.They changed their faces by applying facial cosmetics.
The Malawian government also issued the two with new diplomatic passports before being smuggled in the presidential plane.
It is alleged that Lazarus Chakwera was aware of the plot as he gave it a green light.
The Bushiri’s are facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering. They are currently in Malawi fighting extradition.
