The Home Affairs Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has confirmed that his department has names of the officials who assisted Bushiri and his wife to escape from South Africa.
Speaking in the National Assembly earlier this week, Motsoaledi said the investigations as to how the couple fled the country are still ongoing.
Due to that they cannot reveal the identities of those who were involved.
The Minister said the Hawks and the military intelligence were assisting his department with the investigations.
This is what he said about it, “the Bushiri’s matter is not being investigated by Home Affairs Department only, there are other committees that are involved, the Hawks are involved and military intelligence is also involved.
He went on to say, “I have reported many times that it was agreed that Home Affairs must not disclose any of the officials who were involved.
They will only disclose the names once the committees involved have completed their investigations.
