The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has closed their offices from the 24th of December to the 4th of January 2021.

This decision was done taking into account the transmission risk of Covid-19 so SARS said it has decided to put preventative restrictions in place.

The two-week period of the physical lockdown of offices by SARS will help to stop any further possible spread of Covid-19 infections among taxpayers and our staff.

However, in line with SARS’s mandate to service all members of the public, the revenue collector said that all offices will operate remotely via their digital platforms.
