After allegations of Somizi stealing the cook show idea, Dinner at Somizi’s, the media personality has taken to Instagram to respond.
He posted a video on his Instagram page rhyming to a song that was playing. He was singing that people are jealous of him and they did not want to see him succeeding.
Hastings Moeng claimed that Somizi stole his idea which he pitched to Somizi and Themba in 2014. Moeng had suggested to name the cooking show, Dinner Kwa Somizi.
Moeng revealed that he was never replied by Somizi and the current Producer of Dinner at Somizi’s whom he gave the synopsis of the show in 2016.
Emails sent by Moeng reveal details of how he suggested the idea of the cooking show and having celebrities as guests on the show.
Guests on Moeng’s list included AKA, Minnie Dlamini, Itumeleng Khune, Mshoza, Mary Twala and many more. The email description is similar to Somizi’s cooking show.
The only thing that changed from Somizi’s current show Dinner at Somizi’s is the ‘at’ that replaced Dinner ‘Kwa’ Somizi.
