Somizi In Trouble Over Stolen Cook Show Idea

Somizi and his Producer Met the originator of the idea in 2015 and 2016

Hastings Moeng (31), has told the Sowetan Newspaper that Somizi Mhlongo stole his cook show idea.

Moeng ‘s Lawyer, Mabu Marweshe, told the newspaper that Moeng has written Multichoice and is demanding :

– An apology

– A statement of how much money the show has made

Moeng said he emailed Mhlongo in July 2014 proposing a show with the title ‘Dinner Kwa Somizi’

Moeng personally met with Somizi in June 2015 in Joburg and an agreement was reached.

Moeng then met with the current producer of Dinner With Somizi , Legend Manqelwe, in 2016.

Multichoice told Sowetan Newspaper that they reached out to Moeng a week ago and are awaiting his response.
