Talking to TshisaLive Nadia Nakai revealed that she felt like she has to work twice as hard to be heard in the industry especially because it is male dominated.

She added that there was inequality among rappers in the industry as women were constantly forced to defend themselves.

A few days ago Nadia Nakai had a sit down with Lady Zamar talking about fame and music. They ended up opening so much about their individual journeys in music.

Nadia said that she at times thinks that if she was male her music would be selling better. On the other hand Lady Zamar feels like Mzansi was sleeping on her music.

She said her hit song Collide was not appreciated in South Africa. Even radio stations had something negative to say about it.

Her song became a hit in other countries before South Africa. She added that people in the UK, USA and beyond enjoyed her music and her song was a hit in  those countries unlike in Mzansi.
