Popular South African Rapper KO ( Ntokozo Mdluli) says he faced financial difficulties when his record label, Cashtime, collapsed in 2016.

KO said money stopped coming in and the fact that he had bought a big house and other expensive assets made even worse.

He said he started making adjustments to his spending habits and started paying attention to what he bought.

KO said the difficult times he faced were a blessing in disguise because when the lockdown came in 2020, he was operating lean. He said he had stopped wasting money and was able to weather the storm.
