Former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba’s wife Norma is expected to challenge the legality of her arrest by the Hawks and pursue the matter legally.
This after she was arrested by the Hawks for Crimen Injuria and malicious damage to property over the weekend and was granted R5000 bail.
While briefing the media outside the Brooklyn police station, Norma’s lawyer said there was no warranty of search and seizure shown to Norma Gigaba when they seized her gadgets.
He added that Norma Gigaba did not give her consent to the Hawks for them to take away her electronic gadgets.
Four of her gadgets were taken away from Norma by the Hawks for further investigations as they charged her with Crimen Injuria.
Norma’s lawyer refused to give details or to comment on allegations that Norma Gigaba hired assassins to kill her husband Malusi Gigaba.
