President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a special funeral for late struggle stalwart Andrew Mlangeni. Mlangeni died on Wednesday, he was 95 years old.
Friends, family and colleagues have been paying their respects to the Mlangeni family at their home in Soweto. Former president Jacob Zuma will lead the ANC’s virtual tribute.
Andrew Mlangeni was one of the ANC leaders who spoke against corruption and was vocal about Zuma’s links to the Gupta family and also the State Capture case that involved.
Flags will fly at half mast from today Friday the 24th of July until next week Wednesday when he will be afforded the special official Category 1 Funeral.
Mlangeni was the last surviving member of the Rivonia trialists and was the next door inmate to Nelson Mandela on Robben Island.
