Sunday World reports that DJ Fresh (Thatho Sikwane) has applied for a court interdict against poet and singer Ntsiki Mazwai at the Joburg High Court.
DJ Fresh wants the court to force Ntsiki Mazwai To take down her social media posts naming him as a r_apist. He also wants her to retract her statements.
DJ Fresh says it was apparent that Nstiki Mazwai made her statements based on a social media post dated 4 September 2019, without verifying the facts.
DJ Fresh says his former girlfriend Penny Lebyane never alleged in the original post that he was a r_apist and had abused his position of influence.
Penny Lebyane, in the original tweet, had alleged that her ex boyfriend was dating numerous young girls, but did not name DJ Fresh.
Fresh said he dumped Penny Lebyane because she tried to run his friends off the road, and denies that they broke up because of any found pictures.
Fresh revealed that a he had been granted a protection order against Penny at the time.
Another artist, Swazi, also alleged that DJ Fresh forced himself on her at a club in four ways 17 years ago.
All these allegations were made under the hashtag #meetoo and #nameyourrapist and many South African women have came out to speak about their experiences.
The ANC women’s league has came out in support of Ntsiki and said they have noted a pattern where abusers are using the courts to silence their victims.
The ANC women ‘s league issued the statement last week on 12 July 2020.
DJ Fresh denied the allegations in a social media post which was published on 10 September 2019.
Penny Lebyane has denied that she named DJ Fresh as a Rapist, However. She has in the past openly spoken out about her relationship with DJ Fresh.
