Radio DJ and TV host Thando Thabethe had a conversation with the leading lady of Netflix SA’s latest African Original #BloodandWater, Ama Qamata, who play the role of Puleng Khumalo.
During a conversation held on Thando Thabethe’s instagram live, they discussed Puleng’s role, important issues the show highlights and some of the themes contained in the drama.
Ama Qamata revealed that playing the role Puleng is very awesome. She also said the show highlights some of the important issues the world is faces today.
She added that the series doesn’t run away from the subject matter as Blood and Water portrays a family dealing with losing a family member to suspected human trafficking.
More so, she said other scenes call out Europenisation of African history and even the current political climate in South Africa.
Lastly Puleng said that the series also showcases the closeness of friendship as she learnt how to open and communicate with those in her life.
