President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed sadness over the passing of the Queen of the Amarharhabe Kingdom her Majesty Queen Noloyiso Sandile.

She was the widow of late Amarharhabe King Maxhoba Sandile. At the time of her death she was the regent and she took over the reigns following the death of her husband.

Queen Noloyiso Sandile died of Covid-19 related complications at the Cecilia Makiwane Hospital in Mdantsane.

Meanwhile Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane has also conveyed his condolences to the Amarharhabe Kingdom.

President Ramaphosa described her as a bastion of traditional values and an inspiring leader of her people.
