Messages of condolences continue to pour following the death of an iconic actress Mary Twala who died yesterday at the age of 80.

Talking to eNCA News, veteran actress Lilian Dube who was Mary Twala’s friend described her as a humble, generous and humorous human being.

Lilian revealed that even at such an advanced age, Mary knew all her lines and was always early on set. Mary had also declared that she would never retire from acting.

She added that Mary had so much respect for both old and young actors and she never boasted about being a legendary actress in the entertainment industry.

When Lilian Dube produced a comedy show, “Skwizas” she had Mary Twala in mind thus she gave her a role. Lilian revealed that she is still impressed and happy to have worked with Mary.

Lilian also said Mary was a prayerful woman who cared not only for her family but for everyone. Last year Mary Twala was a recipient of the 2019 Order of Ikhamanga in Silver for her contribution in the Arts.
