The news of The First Satanic Church in South Africa has caused shock across the country. However, according to the church, there’s really no need for anyone to be amazed.

The Satanic Church is based in the city of Cape Town.

Co-founder of the church, Riaan Swigelaar, has been quoted as saying Satan to them is a symbol of pride, freedom and individualism.

Riaan said he hopes to use the opening of the church as an opportunity to educate the public on satanism.
