Sad News Rachel Kunutu Is Leaving Skeem Saam After 8 Years And Here’s Why

Loyal viewers of Skeem Saam will be left with heartbreak as Lesego Marakalla who plays the character of Rachel Kunutu is leaving the show.

Rachel has been part of the the show for eight years. She will make her last and final appearance on the show on the 19th of June.

The news were broke out after popular entertainment blogger Phil Mphela tweeted that after eight years of playing Rachel, Lesego was leaving the show. His tweet reads:

Lesego quits Skeem Saam after eight years on the hit SABC 1 soapie playing Rachel Kunutu. The actress has resigned citing an intention to take a break from acting and return to school full time”.

It is reported that Lesego is not sure if she will be coming back to acting. She thanked and appreciated her fans for the love and support they shown her since she started acting.
