Skeem Saam Cast Member Tests Positive For Covid-19/ Production Has Been Paused

An outbreak of coronavirus has led to yet another soapie halting production as one of it’s cast members tests positive for the virus. The River stopped shooting earlier and now Skeem Saam has also paused shooting.

Skeem Saam Production confirmed that one if their cast members came contracted the disease when they came into contact with a family member who had the virus.

“The crew member and everyone that they had direct contact with have all been tested and awaiting results”, the Production said.

The rest of the crew and cast have been asked to go into self quarantine while necessary procedures are being arranged in accordance with government legislation.

Meanwhile, while Skeem Saam shooting is on pause their studios and offices are being sanitised and disinfected.
