Siphiwe Tshabalala: Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Him

Siphiwe Tshabalala is a South African footballer. He is famous for scoring the first goal during the 2010 FIFA World Cup which was hosted by South Africa, the first in the African continent.

Tshabalala was born on the 29th of September 1984 in Phiri, Soweto in Gauteng Province thus he is 35 years old. He is the first born child in his family and he has a younger sister.

Siphiwe Tshabalala’s father was a taxi driver and the breadwinner of the family. Siphiwe was raised at his grandmother’s house together with his cousins. He attended
Seanamarena Secondary School.

Growing up Tshabalala wanted to be a chartered accountant. It is alleged he was in a love scandal with Zanele Skhosana and Robin Ngalade. He also dated media mogul Bonang Matheba.

Tshabalala later on dated and married former Miss SA Bokang Montjane and they had their first child in 2015. He left Kaizer Chiefs in 2018 to play in Turkey.
