Thomas Gumede is an award winning actor from South Africa. He is a media mogul focused on his craft as an actor and a director.

Gumede is about to be a new father. This comes after actress Zola Nombona announced recently that Thomas Gumede was the father of her unborn child.

The actor was born on the 6th of February in 1986 thus he is 34 years old. He was born in KwaZulu-Natal and while he was 13 years old his family moved to Johannesburg in search of greener pastures.

He studied cinematography after completing his High School as he dreamt of joining the media industry. His debut on television started with him playing smaller roles on SABC 1’s Comedy Shows.

In 2006 he landed a major role on SABC 1 drama series known as ‘A Place Called Home’. He also hosted a comedy show known as ‘So You Think You Are Funny’ in 2008. Thomas hosted the MTv comedy show ‘Ridiculousness Africa’ along side Boity Thulo and Basket Mouth.

Thomas Gumede acted alongside Idris Elba in a movie called ‘Mandela’s Long Walk To Freedom’. He has won several awards including the Golden Horn Award for Best Actor in a TV Drama and the Golden Horn Award for Best Actor in a TV Comedy.
