Charles Maja (Big Boy) Skeem Saam Actor Has Died

South Africa has lost yet another legend in the acting industry. Skeem Saam actor Charles Maka aka Big Boy has passed on.

Charles Maja played the role of ‘Big Boy’ Mabitsela, Leshole’s alcoholic and abusive father and a motor mechanic on SABC 1’s soapie Skeem Saam.

The actor is reported to have died following a short illness. He was pronounced dead on Thursday, 9th April 2020.

After the news of his passing on, a lot of tributes and condolences have been shared across different social media platforms by fans and his fellow castmates.

Skeem Saam confirmed his death on their official Twitter account and this is what they wrote.

“You may be gone for now but you live forever in our memories and in our hearts. Thank you so much for who you were, we love you and we wish you a peaceful sleep.
RIP Charles Big Boy Maja. Our family will never be the same again.”

Charles Maja who hailed from Limpopo was also a popular radio drama voice actor on SABC’s Thobela FM.
