SA Coronavirus Patient Was In Contact With Many People

The Health Ministry Of South Africa has confirmed that the Coronavirus has been detected in South Africa.Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said the positive test for the novel Coronavirus in SA was from a sample taken on 3 March .

The 38 year old infected man had arrived in South Africa two days before 1 March from Italy and both he and the doctor he went to self-isolated on 3 March.Tracer teams are tracking everybody that the 38year old could have been in contact with and direct contacts such as family will be placed into Quarantine.

Mkhize also shared that the Infected man’s symptoms were not severe but he was uncomfortable.The Ministry says this is a success of the health systems to be able to detect and rapidly identify cases.
