Incident Details (as reported by SAPS):

  • At approximately 07:30, an e-hailing driver transported a female passenger to a residence in Edenvale.

  • After the drop-off, Jub Jub confronted the driver and accused him of having a romantic relationship with his girlfriend.

  • Jub Jub allegedly forced the driver into his vehicle and prevented him from leaving.

  • During the incident, Jub Jub reportedly discharged a firearm in the driver’s direction.

  • The driver managed to escape unharmed and immediately drove to a nearby police station to report the matter.

Arrest and Custody:

  • Jub Jub was arrested on the same day (14 June 2026) by the South African Police Service (SAPS).

  • He was held at an Ekurhuleni police station.

Court Appearance:

  • Monday, 15 June 2026 – Scheduled first appearance at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court (expected to be a bail hearing or remand proceeding).
