Musician Lehlogonolo “Shebeshxt” Chauke appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, November 13, 2025, facing charges of attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, malicious damage to property, and defeating the ends of justice.
He was arrested the previous day in connection with a shooting incident on October 19 in Ladanna, where he allegedly fired shots at another vehicle during a confrontation, seriously injuring a 34-year-old male occupant. Shebeshxt has been remanded in custody, and his case was postponed to Friday, November 21, 2025, for a formal bail application.
His legal team maintains that the state’s case is weak and a formal trial for a separate 2022 attempted murder case is scheduled for February 2026.
