Mikes Kitchen Releases Statement Distancing Itself From The Emtee Incident

Multi award winning rapper Mthembeni Emtee Ndevu took to Instagram to speak about his experience at Mike’s Kitchen l, where he was kicked out alongside his friends with claims of having too many tattoos and smelling of weed.

Emtee narrated how they were in the studio when loadshedding hit and they decided to have lunch at Mikes Kitchen in Parktown. “We were dropped off.

We walked in and as we were being ushered to our table, a white man came and told us to leave because we smelled of weed and had too many tattoos. Mind you, our transport had left.” Mikes Kitchen then released a statement saying that it’s brand was incorrectly linked to the incident.

They condemned any form of racism and discrimination while distancing themselves saying Mikes Kitchen was not affiliated with Mikes Heritage House.
