Orlando Pirates soccer star Thembinkosi Lorch and his ex-girlfriend Nokuphiwa Mathithibala are at loggerheads as they fight for R140 000.
Lorch has been appearing in Court after Mathithibala opened an assault case against him. She accused him of physically abusing her when they were in a relationship.
The midfielder had planned to apply for an eviction order to have Mathithibala kicked out of his Midrand house where he allegedly beat her up.
In a twist of the events, Mathithibala derailed Lorch’s eviction plan by demanding to be paid R140 000 she had loaned him in order for her to vacate from the house.
Thembinkosi Lorch is due to appear in court again on the 28th of July for sentencing. The soccer star was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Nokuphiwa after appearing in the Randburg Magistrate’s court.
Lorch allegedly slapped, threw her to the ground, kicked and strangled Mathithibala in 2020 when she had asked about his whereabouts.
