Flamboyant businessman, Edwin Sodi, has been implicated in the Tshwane water Cholera outbreak which has killed 21 people.

The Auditor General flagged Sodi and his partners in a report that was released in 2019.

Sodi’s companies, NJR projects and Blackhead consulting were awarded a joint venture tender of R292 million to expand Rooiwal Wastewater treatment plant.

A forensic report by Ligwa Advisory Services found that the bid evaluation committee did not include legal and financial advisors as required by the Procurement policies.
