The South African Revenue Services has been granted a provisional liquidation order by the North Gauteng High Court against a company owned by Brian Shivambu.
Brian is the brother of Economic Freedom Fighters Deputy President Floyd Shivambu. Shivambu’s company is owing more than R11.5 million in unpaid taxes.
He benefited from the gratuitous payments of R16 million from VBS bank. Shivambu is the sole shareholder and Director of Grand Azania which benefited from the VBS Mutual Bank.
Grand Azania is deemed to be unable to pay its debts thus leading to liquidation.

The company was ordered to pay in June 2021 and it has been failing to do so.
