Oliver Fortuin, has resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of telecommunications services provider Seacom.

His resignation was pushed by his desires to move abroad so he could be closer to his children who live overseas.

Fortuin will continue serving as CEO until June this year and he will participate in the processes of finding his replacement.

Under Fortuin’s leadership Seacom entered into new markets and purchased infrastructure assets in Uganda and Kenya.

In addition, the telecommunications services provider managed to complete the acquisition of ICT services provider EOH Networking Solutions and Hymax.
