The local football fraternity has been plunged into deep mourning following the murder of soccer star Oshwin Andries.
The 20 year old was stabbed to death over the weekend. Condolence messages have been pouring in for the late footballer.
Andries played for Stellenbosch F.C. as a defender, his death was a loss to the club. Stellenbosch F.C. released a statement saying it was saddened by Andries’ passing.
The late soccer star graduated from the Stellenbosch Football Academy and made his professional debut in professional football at the age of 18.
He was Stellenbosch’s youngest goalscorer in the DStv Premiership. He was also the captain of South Africa’s under-20 Afcon qualifiers team.
