Boxing SA suspends Nomfundo Malinga’s promoters licence

Boxing SA has announced its suspension of Nomfundo Malinga’s Boxing promoters licence.

The suspension comes as Nomfundo was set to host her first tournament at Ladysmith indoor arena in honor of her father, Sugarboy Malinga.

However,  Boxing SA turned down the tournament as it does not recognize the World Alliance Boxing Association,  under which the tournament was to be held.

Sugarboy Malinga is a legendary  South African boxer who beat British boxer, Nigel Benn to win the Super Middleweight World Boxing championship in 1996.

Sugarboy currently runs Sugarboy Malinga promotions.
