Eskom’s group Chief executive André de Ruyter has resigned. His resignation comes as South has been reeling from long hours of load shedding.

Ruyter has been facing criticism from the industry aswell as from the Minerals and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe.

South Africans have been enduring 8 to 10 hours of load shedding a day. There has been endless calls for Ruyter to resign.
