An assult case against former Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena has been set aside by the Court. The matter has been at the courts for the past two years.
Her husband Robert Mugabe Ngwenya has not given up yet as he is now seeking justice through private prosecution.
The matter which been put back on to the court roll for the second time was initially withdrawn in October 2021.
Mabena was accused of allegedly assulting her ex-husband Ngwenya at their home in Midrand between 2019 and 2020.
The actress was charged with assult after she attacked her husband with a bottle of a perfume, a broomstick, and a pair of scissors.
Ngwenya opened four cases in 2019 and 2020 and withdrew the case after falling sick last year.
He however told the media that he wrote to the National Prosecuting Authority asking for the charges to be reinstated again.
Zinhle Mabena played the role of Sihle on the now canned Mzansi Magic telenovela Isibaya. The news was reported by City Press newspaper.
