Gospel musician, pastor, radio presenter and one of the founding members of the Crown Gospel Music Awards Sipho Kaleni passed away on the 1st of August 2022.
According to a statement published by the Crown Gospel Music Awards, Kaleni had been not feeling so well since May this year.
Another founding member of the Crown Gospel Music Awards Zanele Mbokazi said Kaleni had a boil under his armpit which led to his sickness.
Mbokazi described the late Kaleni as an icon who contributed immensely on the gospel genre in South Africa.

He is best known for his hit songs, “Standing Tall, On My Knees, Lord You Are Faithful”, amongst many others.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
