SABC NEWS reported that two people were shot dead in another incident at a tavern in Sweetwaters, in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZuluNatal.
Two others passed away at a hospital while another eight are in critical condition and they are in hospital after sustaining injuries.
Another incident happened at Nomzamo tavern in Orlando, Soweto in Gauteng, where thirteen people were shot dead yesterday night.
Two died in hospital bringing the death toll to fifteen, the other two are in critical condition at Bara Hospital. Gunmen disembarked from a Toyota Quantum and started shooting.
Police said the incident in Pietermaritzburg occurred at around 8pm last night. A car stopped by and two gunmen went into the tavern and started shooting at people.
The motive behind these killings is not yet known. Police are carrying out investigations.
These incidents came at a time South Africa is still mourning the passing of 21 teenagers who passed away at Enyobeni tavern in Scenery Park, East London, Eastern Cape, last week.
