DJ Sumbody (Oupa Sefoka) has won the court case in which he was demanding that Cassper Nyovest (Refiloe Phoolo) pay him R147 000 as originally agreed.
DJ Sumbody filed the court case after Cassper Nyovest failed to honor a 2018 agreement to pay him his portion of the R5 million Samsung advert contract in which the song remote control was used as a sound track.
Nyovest’s company signed an acknowledgement of debt in February 2021 through DJ Sumbody ‘s lawyers, which they failed to honor, forcing him to approach the Johannesburg High court in November 2021.
