The much anticipated Ankole Cattle Auction took place at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm in Bela Bela, Limpopo on Saturday.

The breed is one of the world’s most sought after and the sales involve millions in rands. Ramaphosa has two farms for breeding, the other one, Ntaba Nyoni farm is in Mpumalanga.

The EFF threatened to protest at the venue, following allegations that the President tried to cover up a burglary at the farm involving millions of dollars.

This after a game auction at the farm in 2020. The president was exposed by former head of state security agency and correctional services Arthur Fraser.
