N3 Truck Blockade, Police Make Arrests as Road is Cleared

Disgruntled truck drivers blocked the N3 as they demanded truck companies to employ local drivers.

The blockade caused a congestion near Van Reenen’s Pass in KwaZuluNatal. The police made arrests as they cleared the route.

Travellers using the route between Johannesburg and Durban were disrupted.

More arrests are expected as police continue to investigate circumstances that led to such actions which are viewed as economic sabotage.
