The Daily Sun reports that Former South Africa health minister Dr Zweli Mkhize has hinted on contesting the ANC’s presidency, challenging Cyril Ramaphosa.

Mkhize said if the governing party’s branches nominate him for the position he is ready to take it up.

This comes as the ANC prepares for national elective conference in December this year.
Mkhize has been endorsed by several ANC branches in KZN.

He has been seen addressing caucus meeting in Thekwini. Zweli is currently involved in a legal battle to get the Digital Vibes report, which linked him and his family to alleged corruption.
