Chicco Twala Accused of Exploiting Brenda Fassie Even after Her Death

This year marks 18 years since the passing of South African singer and songwriter Brenda Fassie.

It was reported this week that Brenda Fassie’s  long time producer Chicco Twala will be leading the production of a Netflix documentary on Brenda Fassie’s life.

After the announcement Chicco Twala began to trend on Twitter with a lot of tweeps expressing that they will not be watching the documentary.

Chicco has claimed that he produced over 75 percent of Brenda Fassie’s songs. Brenda’s son Bongani said his mother’s estate was stolen. Some said it was Chicco Twala.
