Sowetan reports that Chicco Twala was arrested for allegedly becoming violent and pointing a firearm at a technician from City Power.
The musical producer is due to appear before the Randburg Magistrates Court today, after spending a night at Douglasdale police station.
Police confirmed the arrest, and police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili told the publication that two toy guns were seized from Twala.
The 59 year old who has been accused of covering up for his son in the Senzo Meyiwa murder, said his arrest proved that he has no power or links to the police.
