Who is Advocate Malesela Teffo, Why He was Arrested?

Advocate Malesela Teffo is the defence lawyer representing accused one to four in the Senzo Meyiwa trial.

He was arrested yesterday in the Pretoria High Court. Advocate Teffo said he did not know why he was arrested.

Malesela Teffo is an advocate who is based in Pretoria. He used to work as a police officer for the South African Police Services.

In 2021 he was arrested by the police twice and he spent time in SunCity prison. The charges were related to a contempt of Court and trespassing.

The Police in the court room confirmed that there was a warranty of arrest in place for the prominent lawyer.

They said it was because he missed another scheduled court appointment which was set down yesterday morning.
