The murder case of men accused of killing Zimbabwean national, Elvis Nyathi has been postponed to Monday.

Nyathi was killed in Diepsloot, Johannesburg on the 7th of April 2022.

It is believed a mob confronted undocumented migrants in the area, accusing them of committing crimes in the community.

The seven men accused of killing Nyathi briefly appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s court yesterday.

Families and friends of the accused and the victim were present at the court. The National Prosecuting Authority highlighted its confidence in the case.

The NPA said the accused faces charges of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbing with aggravating circumstances, assault with intent to do grievious bodily harm and extortion.
