The coronation of King Misuzulu KaZwelithini as the King of AmaZulu has been postponed indefinitely.

Celebrations were scheduled for the 28th of May 2022.

The Traditional Prime Minister of the Zulu Monarch, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, has confirmed that the event will be held at a later stage.

He said the postponement came due to the devastating flooding in KwaZuluNatal that left hundreds dead and thousands homeless.

Buthelezi added that the postponement was requested by the King to allow those affected to rebuild.
