Lerato Molapo who is popularly known by her stage name Lira suffered a stroke while she was in Germany for a performance.
The multi-award winning Afro-soul singer had booked a deal with the annual Miss Bachelorette South Africa before she fell ill.
The deal fell off because of her sudden health misfortune. She was scheduled to perform at The Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef for the annual Miss Bachelorette South Africa show.
Lira has now been replaced by Ringo Madlingozi. The organisers told the media that there was no bad blood between them and Lira’s management.

Sebasa Mogale who is part of the organising team said they were praying for her speedy recovery.
