Community Demands Cash From CIT Vehicle/ Threaten To Bomb it

Cash In Transit robberies are rampant in South Africa.

The country has recorded a total of 35 CITs and 21 of these were committed in Gauteng Province this year alone.

Atleast 50 cash in transit heists were recorded between December 2021 and February 2022.

A video has emerged of community members demanding money from a cash in transit vehicle.

People who blocked the vehicle shouted at the driver, asking him to disembark from the vehicle.

They shouted in high voices saying they wanted money. The community members also threatened to bomb the vehicle.
